Suddenly
From
The breath
Of
A faint wind


That
Scatters
In to fragments
What was believed
To be sturdy
As
Perennial weeds
Deceptively veiled
In the softness
Of
A thousand
Mesmerizing
Points of beauty
Too soon lost
As
They dreamily float
Becoming
Moments
We are uncertain
Were
Ever
Lived

Walking
On
The shady side of the street
Cools me
As
The clip of my stride
Quickens
Pumping
Blood
Through
My body
At
A rate
That
Would cause
Other liquids
To boil

While
The leaves
Of
Canopying branches
Fan
My head
As
They are stirred
By
The same breezes
That
Dance
Between
My thoughts
