Enveloped

Slender leaves of green
Hovering
Within
The space
Between
The beckoning heights
Of
Heaven
And
The grounding roots
That
Rest
Beneath
The earth
While
Singing
Siren songs
To
Tempt
The return
Of
Warmth

I can not recall
Leaves
So green
Vibrant
Plump
With
Life and light
Vividly vibrating
With universal energy
That sets them apart
From
This world
Green
That sits
Above
Beyond
And
Before
The gloom
Of
Heavy gray clouds
Weighted
With the freshness and clarity
Of
What will be rain
Green
That has caught
My attention
And
My awareness
And
Become riveted
Within the sight of my eyes
Today
I trust my experience
To know
That
As never before
In my lifetime
I see
Green
