I wish
I were a butterfly
Flying free up in the sky
With wings real light
And colours bright
My body

I wish
I could take you with me
But then my wings would not be free

My life
Is
A vapour
That has willed me
From
The moment of my birth
When
The light of the world
Seeped
Through
The calm comfort
Cradling me
And
Seduced me
To follow it

In to
This fractured place
That changes
As
I grow
Up and in and outward
Obtaining new perspectives
Which
Are
Temporary
Fleeting
And
Quickly
Passing away
Before
I have had my fill
Of
Whimsical enjoyment
To
Render me breathless
My life
Is
A vapour
Unable to settle
And
Become
Cemented
Because
It is necessary
For
Awakened spirits
To
Roam
Free
