I can not recall
Leaves
So green
Vibrant
Plump
With
Life and light
Vividly vibrating
With universal energy
That sets them apart
From
This world

Green
That sits
Above
Beyond
And
Before
The gloom
Of
Heavy gray clouds
Weighted
With the freshness and clarity
Of
What will be rain

Green
That has caught
My attention
And
My awareness
And
Become riveted
Within the sight of my eyes

Today
I trust my experience
To know
That
As never before
In my lifetime
I see
Green

Was the colour
Of
The woven fibers
You wore
Against
The smooth flesh
Of
Your muscular frame
And
As if
You had become
That vine ripened fruit
I wanted
To devour you
