Droplets of water
Hold
Both
Light and dark
As
They land
From
Falling
Entering
A world of struggle
Where
They join forces
Either
Muddying
The waters
To stifle
Our attempts
At
Opening
Streams of clarity
Or
Cleansing
Each breath
Of
Life’s air
As
We run
Dodging
Raindrops

Thanks Bonnie!
It’s interesting that you say that because the quote that inspired this poem really resonated with me.
This is a lovely poem. I’m touched that my post inspired it! ❤
I’m happy you like it!
When I read the words on your post I knew there was a poem waiting to be written 🙂
Wonderful how the raindrops can be a form of clarity and a form of shadowing and muddiness, isn’t it? To all things a time and a season, I suppose.
granbee,
It’s all about relativity and perspective.
Everything in life has its negative and positive.
beautiful poem, Tricia.
Thanks Francina!
I can’t take all the credit. My inspiration came from a post on shutteredintentions site.
It’s interesting how I am affected by words written and spoken by others. For a long time I used to avoid reading the poetry of other writers because I feared I might unconsciously plagiarize someone’s work, but I’m learning that being inspired can have wonderful results 🙂
