I knew
Every
Raindrop
By name
As
Each
Fell
Without hesitation
Upon
My skin

Rolled gently
Then
Softly caressed
Me
As if
I were
A fading flower
In need
Of
A life saving
Drink

Reblogged this on The Three G's.
Raindrops are indeed restorative “wet hugs” from heaven, I often think.
I love the thought of rain being “wet hugs” from heaven 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my photoblog and thus allowing me to discover yours. I really like the combination of photography and poetry.
You’re welcome Lutz!
I enjoyed exploring your site.
Thanks for visiting!
Love the concept of your blog! I always like pairing my photos with a heading, to give it a different spin or enhance the effect. Looking forward to seeing how your poems affect the presentation of your photos!
Thanks Romaniouk!
I never know how things are going to develop because sometimes it’s the photos that inspire me to write a poem 🙂
So we both have been walking in the rain, talking about one thing whilst thinking about another!! 🙂

David,
I’ve been noticing “rain” show up in my poetry quite a bit lately. I’m not sure what that means. Although one of my favourite things has always been the way the air smells right before it starts to rain 🙂
In this country just at the moment it is always right before it starts to rain or right after it has rained!!!
So the air always smells fresh 🙂
