My thoughts
Often
Turn to you
Knowing that you struggle
To wade
Through oceans of diversions
Threatening to sink you
Like crushing waves
In to the needful lives of others


Who demand
You abandon
Your truest desires
And
Allow your spirit
To be buried
Beneath sands
On the floor
Of
A cold murky place
To be forgotten

But
I remember you
So
I cast out a net
Woven with positive intentions
To support
The steady ascent
Of
Your light
To
The surface
