The cavalier manner

Telling of untruths

The ease
With which
Some swoop in
To fragment
The bonds

Newly minted affections
It is not
The promises
We make
With crossed fingers
While waiting
For
All expectation
To fade
Careless
Claims no devotions
And
Is a blunder
Only children
