There is never
A single story
Though
There may be
Common threads
Weaving
Fragile tales
Together

To
Secure them
Against
Wickedly spoken words
Pushed
Across the air
By
The force
Of
Vicious verbal vents
To
Break
The spirits
Of
Storytellers
Before
The history
That lives
In soft sounds
Can become
Permanently
Imbedded
In
Our souls

Very beautiful… (and to digress, I love that book “The Soul of Rumi” – in your photograph!) And it’s those “common threads” of truth that need so badly to be “imbedded” in our souls. Thank you, I love this poem.
Thanks Betty!
Your encouraging and thoughtful comments are always appreciated.
Really enjoyed the poem…so many times only one side of a story is presented and few people seem to understand there may be another version of it.
Thank you!
I always say that there at 3 sides to every story: the perspective of each person involved and the truth somewhere in the middle 🙂
Great title, lovely photograph and beautiful words!
Thank you Mufidah!
Keep it up! I love stopping in!
Thanks Claudia!
I’ve been spending a bit of time visiting your space too 🙂
Great merging of two artistic mediums, poetry and photography.
Thanks Matt!
I’ve been enjoying the challenge of merging the two mediums 🙂
Wonderful! It’s important to remember that there is always many points of view and many right ways of doing things.
Ladyfi,
It is important to remember that.
Unfortunately sometimes we approach things with a single-mindedness that prevents us from seeing the big picture in life.
Bravo! Liked this! Great one! 🙂
Thank you!
