Recently, a friend recommended that to combat the procrastination I’ve come to accept as a part of my writing life, I should write something first thing in the morning.
Well, I’m writing first thing in the morning.
This is not the poetry I was hoping for. But this prose is the first step toward what will hopefully be a daily practice of mining the ideas I often allow to fade when morning light overtakes the shadows of sleepless nights.
