I will be you
Sitting confidently
In the seat of experience
Having created
A life worthy of accolades
Because
I lived
Not cautiously
But
With an openness
That
Welcomed
Every wrinkle
As
It settled
In to its space
After being lit with laughter
From
The first moments
Of
My existence
When
It became clear
That
The journey to old age
Is
Better traveled
Holding hands with love
